Chicago Tip #117

The Paulina Brown Line station is apparently infested with ginormous, hideous, evil, gray spiders. I wouldn't have found that out if I was smart enough to remember to get off at my brother's stop when I've left my car at his house.

I was trying to get as far away from the spiders as possible.

Ginormous? Please...this (http://www.snopes.com/photos/bugs/camelspider.asp) is ginormous. And creepy, too...

Steve, you aren't actually under the impression that I'm going to go to this site and look at that picture are you?

Sadly no, the guy drinks with me every Thursday. But as today is NOT No Rant Thursday, he gets to pick on me as much as he wants. Right Steve?

But Amber, if you had looked at the page you would have seen: They're technically not spiders but solifugae so there's nothing to be afraid of.

And as far as No Rant Thursday, since when does that equal Don't Pick on Amber Thursday? Did I miss a memo?

Amber, would you like to know what I showered with this morning . . . well it had more then six legs but fewer then ten.

About the spiders, Steve, you can't rant about the spiders. Which is related to me. You can pick on me about anything else you'd like though. :-)

And just because it's not technically a spider doesn't mean I want to have nightmares for a week.

See you at Tai's tonight?

It's probably a good thing then that Steve didn't link directly to the video on that page..... just in case you inadvertently clicked on it or accidentally pasted it into the address bar on your browser.

Kinda interesting that these things actually hunt down and eat scorpions, though.

guess that's enough of that.......
